The iDP-100 currently is offered in one version which does not Support Chinese. Most type 2 Players support Chinese and are only sold outside of the US.

根據 iRiver 中文網站說明：

iDP-100 內的圖像液晶體顯示屏支援多種語言，包括中文、英文、日文(片假名、平假名及漢字) 、韓文、法文、西班牙文、德文、意大利文及其它字母文字多達 35 種。
========================================

再根據 iRiver 英文網站說明：
========================================
The graphic LCD supports multiple languages. Basic languages are Korean, Japanese and English, but German, French, Spanish and other 35 languages are also supported.

最後是 iRiver 客服部的最新回信：========================================
The iDP-Player is not classified as a 'Type 1 or 2' Player as there is simply one version, iDP-100. The iDP-100 supports Japanese files. We will offer an upgrade in the future for supporting Chinese.

所以目前確定的是：
一、iDP-100 只會有一種全球通用版本，不像 SlimX 分成 Type 1、2。
二、目前已支援顯示日文，但還未支援中文顯示；iRiver 會在後續的 firmware 升級增加中文顯示能力。

不知能不能先用日文漢字擋一陣子？

不過換過來說,現在可以支援中文的好像就他家的產品
所以乾脆通通改用英文好了..(通用拼音?)

我也是這麼想....
iMP-400 看起來是台不錯的機子。反正它不像 iMP-350 有分區，所以我自己是打算等該公司供貨正常、價格開始掉下之後再買一台，到時就一大一小剛剛好。

除了兩者電池通用之外，CD-R 部份也是打算全部都用 8cm CD-R 來燒，畢竟小小一桶 25 片 8cm CD-R 也很好帶。
