Older I Mac and previous owner is the administrator. How can

I think I may have ACCIDENTALLY deleted something very important when I was deleting old games out of Add/Remove programs. I went to Sounds and Audio devices under the Control Panel and it says No Audio Device. I went to Dell and downloaded an audio driver for my model but it's not working...someone please help! (PS. I don't know much about technical for computers, keep it plain English please!)
